Mais ce n'est pas ce qui est important. Seules importantes les dix lettres qui suivent ; elles sont importantes pour la connaissance du monde au sein duquel a vécu, a créé Rainer Maria Rilke, et elles importent aussi pour nombre de ceux qui, aujourd'hui et demain, prennent leur essor et se développent. Pour moi, le nom de Rilke était inconnu, mon inculture y est pour beaucoup puisque ma mère et ma soeur par contre l'avaient en tête, mais sans avoir rien lu de lui.

Les lettres se terminent rapidement, malheureusement, mais elles contiennent un univers. Rilke y écrit de façon claire et lucide, à propos de l'art, de la solitude, de l'amour, ébauchant des idées pleines de sens, le tout de façon toujours humble et honnête.
J'ai aimé, j'ai adoré, je me suis délectée de cette lecture.
Elle ne s'adresse pas seulement aux jeunes poètes, car je suis dramatiquement hermétique à la poésie en général... Mais aux amoureux des mots, et d'une vie réfléchie.
Le livre est de ceux qui restent.
